Patches & I are going to go look at a possible brother for Patches on Monday he is a 17 week old 40# Doberman Pincher Pup so going to have Patches in her crate so they will be bars between them. Also not sure how the Dobe Mom has things set up at her house she is a vet tech so she is use to all situations I would guess.
We have a cement block plant behind our house I know a family of Fox's live over there I'm sure there are other critters over there too so with my big Bouvier gone a little leery of the little girls in the huge back yard alone especially this winter. Also there is a Red Tailed Hawk that lives in this area too.Always felt like the little dogs were safer when we had the big Bouvier around but sadly he passed away in April of this year.
Anyone have little dogs and big dogs I know I will have to be on my toes for a long time until the big dog learns to behave around the little girls always had big dogs sorta lost with out one especially since Patches does not bark when some one is around.Have not met these Dobes so will have to see how the temperaments are also seems like 40# is big for a 17 week old pup do not want a supersized Dobe just regular size. Thanks for any thoughts on this venture.
