:thumb: Happy Person of the Day to you! You mentioned that you're a Connecticut Yankee! Did you live there at one time?I grew up out there approxiatemately 45-50 miles from the Rhode Island border! My family and I moved to Illinois in 1974 to be near my grandparents.

I was born,raised, married and boys were born in Milford, Connecticut. Lived there for 42 years.

Happy POD, Ruth! You have a lot to be proud of! I forgot that one of your sons is a Marine. Is he still in? Stateside? My mom grew up in Connecticut....I think it was near Mystic. I do know it was near the ocean.

Both sons are Marines ...... Tim served for 8 years. SSgt Dan is still active, he has been to Iraq twice. How do you like his breast ....... err Chest of medals ?

Great POD write-up Ruth. I just love reading all about the folks on this board. My father was a Connecticut Yankee too. Sounds like you have two wonderful sons. The three granddaughters.........so adorable!!! Give Ellie a hug for me, she looks just like my late Harry, a wildboar wire. Harry's coat was a real soft wire. Is Ellie's like that?
