Title: My girl Annie
Post by: Jenny G on August 25, 2006, 02:03:33 PM
It's hard to believe that it's been a whole year since we helped our sweet Annie to the Rainbow Bridge.  I still think about her each day - wondering what she'd think of crazy Lucy or how she'd offer some wise advice to Berman on how to deal with little sisters.

She was such a sweet little dog with the kindest soul.  What a blessing to happen upon her that unseasonably warm January day!

One year ago today, I didn't think I'd make it through the day.  Anything that gets me down now, doesn't even compare to that day.  My heart was absolutely and totally broken.  Now, I think of the good times - before she got sick - and even some of the times when she was sick.  I never thought of myself as nurturing, but I took care of my sweet girl like she was my own child.

Pretty Pretty Princess - We miss you and hope you are free from all pain and able to play with all the other furbabies at the Bridge.  Lots of kisses and belly rubs - love Momma, Berman and Lucy

Oh Jenny - I remember that day a year ago so clearly, I can't believe it has been a whole year.  When I think of Annie, I think of her rolling in the grass picture and it brings a smile to my face.  Your post today brings tears to my eyes - I know it was very hard for you to write it.

I know Annie is watching over you and Berman and Lucy and wagging her tail when she remembers happening upon her forever home.  You loved her to the end and beyond - you couldn't have done any more.

Thanks for posting these sweet pictures of Annie Angel - there are a couple I had not seen.

Hugs to you !

I remember Annie, too.  Its so heartbreaking letting them go, but its our greatest gift to them.  Its always good when we can get past "that day" and remember the good times when they were still with us.  I enjoyed seeing all the pictures of Annie.  Take care.

As I recall, Annie was in your life only a short time before she became ill.  However, the time she spent with you was the best part of your life.  It hurts so much, and you grieve for what you lost and for the years you didn't get to have together.  She was a sweet little girl,

Thanks for the reminder of Annie. I remember that day as well, and the pain all of us shared with you.  The picture of her rolling in the grass is a wonderful reminder of the joy of her life.
