Happy Birthday Julia !!!!! Have a good one filled with treats and long walkies and belly rubs.....errrrr....maybe a nice din-din and a good glass of wine !!!
Thank you both! It is nice to have school get out earlier in early June, but now it means I go back to work and get my room ready this week for school to start next Monday! It is a real bummer for the "Welcome back to school barbecue" for staff to be on Wednesday (my actual birthday) and that means I won't get to go see the Lippizaner horses, who are in town ON my birthday! :sad2:
Thanks for the link, Mike - I still haven't gotten my Irish harp yet...
Do you HAAAAAAVETA go to the BBQ? I would rather see the horses (but I prefer animals to people anyway  ) Why cant you do both? I am sure the show is late enough and bbq are usually early or you could "make and apperance" (I love those :angel4: )and then go see the horses it would be a BIG present for yourself plus birthdays are only once a year & how many thimes do you have the op. to see Lippz ( there is no googly eyed smiliy, I would LOVE to see the Lippz). If you do see the Lippz tank lots and lots and lots and lots of :pic: . Well :occasion5: :occasion13: :occasion13: :occasion15: :occasion16: :occasion18: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you and there's a thought! I have seen the performance twice - first in 1974 in Missouri for my birthday, thanks to cousin Linda, again in summer of 2003. Do you know they traditionally have a little dachsie come out during intermission and make the rounds of the staging "arena"? He or she has a little orange vest with "SECURITY" in black letters! Hey - that's probably why I like the performances so much! Plus, my mom and I absolutely love the Mary Stewart book, "Airs Above the Ground". It is the story of a Lippizaner who still remembers his footwork, while camouflaged as a circus horse.
