My parents took me, my sisters and all of our kids on a Disney Cruise in honor of their 45th anniversary. We had a wonderful time, and I would recommend the Disney Cruise for anyone who has kids.
However, we did need someone to watch Max. We took Max up to my in-laws. My mother-in-law was quite apprehensive at the fact that Max liked to sleep in the big bed with the hoomans. After all, her dog, Duke, slept in his own doggie bed and never slept in the big bed.
We called right before the ship sailed just to make sure everything was okay. My mother-in-law answered the phone. She said she was taking a nap...and Max was with her! So much for not letting Max in the big bed!
She completely spoiled Max. He decided he liked Duke's food better than his own...and that he would only eat Duke's food out of Duke's bowl. Poor Duke was feeling a bit neglected. He did growl at Max when Max tried to take one of his beef bones...Duke had to draw the line there.
We're picking Max up tomorrow morning. I just hope that he'll want to leave!
I am glad you had a nice vacation!!! Sounds like Max had lots of fun on his vacation too.
That is so funny the things that change after they get watched by someone else.
When we had to leave Porky for a weekend last April, he learned to sit by the bed and let out a sharp sounding yip to ask us to lift him up on the bed. My sister said he started doing it the first day she watched him and she thought we had trained him to do it, so she reinforced it. :2funny:
Good luck getting him to leave Duke's bowl at your in-laws. lol
What a fun trip !!! And you GO MAX !!!! Grammy's are the best! And an added bonus when you have a cousin (or uncle??) that has stuff you can steal !!! Glad you had a good time too !
