We are all feeling better today! My husband is completely recovered, since he was around the chemical the least. I still have a slight headache and feel fatigued. But, at least we dont have pounding headaches and stomach cramps any longer :hello2: Porky is almost back to himself again. He was rolling around the floor playing with his ball and went outside to see his cat Peter. He gets worn out really easy still and probably will for the next few weeks to next few months. No one is really sure. I am having trouble with the tiredness myself.
I was very happy to see Porky smile when my sister and her friend came over this afternoon. He even was able to walk down the street to my mother-in-laws house to play with their cat and two dogs. He was pretty tired afterwards, but before he didn't even try to do anything. It is obvious he is feeling better he is not sitting in chairs hunched up like he was the last few days.
The one thing I have learned from this is to contact all the people I can think of and warn them to get those products off their shelves and out of people's homes! I think it was Charlie that said he read an article of two sisters who were hospitalized from this stuff. He's exactly right!! THis stuff can kill humans!!! If you inhale it, you have to go immediately to the ER and get a gastric lavage. (Not fun stuff!) If you miss your two hour window to get that done you are very sick for months or years, at the very least! I encourage others on this board to help me by contacting their senators and sharing Porky's story with them and asking them to do something before any more innocent animals get sick or die, or even humans!!!
Thank you for all your support everyone has given us. Luckilly, the package was not entirely full. In fact, we think he just licked residue from the packaging. Just think, if Porky got this sick from licking off a little bit of residue, what would have happened had someone's baby discovered it full?!
I know I have long posts about this and I apologize, but I feel its really important for people to know how serious this is. Inhalation alone of this product can be enough to kill a human. And some people are using it to deodorize their closets!!! If anyone wants copies of some of the articles I have found about this chemical, e-mail me and I will send them to you right away.
