Yesterday afternoon I picked up Bish from my neighbors and was cleaning house like a mad woman, then as usual I went outside to check on the cat's food and Bish went out with me (he loves to patrol the back yard) well Bish was walking by the built in barbque and sniffing around the planter next to it and out pops momma cat so I hurried Bish inside and grabbed a can of food and while I was throwing the empty can away I heard more wrusling in the bushed so i poked my head in and found eight, EIGHT!!! little kittens!!!!!! I know that they havent been there the whole time so I know she moved them which makes me so very happy. They look like they are about 4 weeks old and so freaking cute (but what kitten or puppy isnt). There are two grey tabbies, two orange tabbies, one orange and white tabby, one black, one black calico (more black then orange thou) and one beautiful smokey white almost looks like a snowshoe it has greyish ears, a greyish tail and paws & a greyish nose. So freaking cute, I hand fed them some wet food but then momma saw me by them and well she didnt much appreciate it after a while. So :xfinger: that i can get them into a box so that they arent in an ant infested area, I think I really want to keep the white one and I know my hubby will want an orange tabby, he always tells me that what he wants an orange tabby. But the others i am going to (when they are old enough) hand them over to Friends of Cats but i have to talk to my neighbor who helps with rescues first. So Excited!!!!!! Not only that but my bathroom is soptlessly clean (told ya i was a mad one woman cleaning crew) b/c hubby is gone i feel totally lost unless I am doing something! I will try and get in some pics of them tonight.
That is exciting. I'm suddenly picturing you with a new puppies and lots of kittens around at one time. Poor Bish won't know what happened. Suddenly he's surrounded by these little "needy" things and he was only expecting ONE sister!
Are you and Patty related? She doesn't like not having a project either, you know. Both of you can come to my house since I seem to have plenty right now and not enough motivation to get them done.
Seriously, I am glad you found the kittens and that the mamma cat was trusting enough to bring them to you. Just knowing that you were able to feed her enough to take care of them is good, but having them there, too is awesome. Can't believe she has eight.
To bad you aren't in SC. I have a good friend looking for a new cat. She plans to go visit one of the rescues soon.

My House is SPOTless (that doesnt count Bish lol he has lots of spots) Bish is being good but I find my self waking up 20 min earlier every day now just to feed the kittens feed momma, and love extra on Bish! Its a zoo at my place (well almost) but I wouldnt have it any other way i love all the furbabies around!

Kari you are more than welcome to One of the kitties! You, Drew & Miss Penny can come over and play with them I am sure drew will fall in love! I know Gabe has but he said we will just keep momma b/c she is used to the area & his sister is allergic to cats & unfortunately i cant kick her out :BangHead: .
Here are some pics of the babies. One has been claimed the pretty white tabby girl, her name is Kymirra (sp) but all the others are left to be claimed. They wont be ready for atleast two weeks but I will say they will be litter box trained (my second accomplishment yesterday, #1 was to move them from the upper back to my patio where I can keep a very close eye on them!) Momma is so good she doesnt mind me at all moving the babies.

Status update!
Well the Blk Cali & the all Blk kitten are claimed. Three down 5 to go! And i have someone comming by (sister-in-laws boss) to pick out the one she wants. I am trying to see if they (the adoptive parents) will give me a small $ donation to get momma fixed b/c I dont want any more kittens around. I wouldnt mind if I could keep them indoors but seeing how my in-laws are all allergic (what did I marry into lol) I have better pics I will post tomorrow.
Dis is Bish yes dere are TOOOO MANY little winey mewy tings dat take MY time wif MY mom :cussing: . But I will say dey are soft an fuzzy but da momma is MEAN. She always hisses at me an SHE EATS MY FOOD!!!!!!!!!!! ( I dont mind I neber eat it I am trying to dwive my momma cwazy by bein a finnicky eater tanks to my auntie cindy) I hab neber seen a squirrl I hab seen wabbits and lizzies but no squirrls
