......Last night mom took me out for a trial run. She put on my collar and leash, and filled her pocket with treats! We started down the road and it didn't take very long for mom to have my 100% attention. I was such a GOOD BOY!!! On the way back, mom unclipped my leash when we got to the driveway. Even then I would not leave her side, I stayed right with her, giving her (and those treats) my full attention.

I tried to train Chilie to walk by my side like that, but I think I gave her too many treats for doing it. I used cubed cheese. DH had been gone for military training for two weeks, and when he got back he said, "What did you do to Chilie? She's gained some weight!" He laughed when I told him what we'd been up to.
