......champagne tonight.
(Left a bottle of bubbly at the house for the new owners, too)
I'm so happy for you. Glad they made it there safely. I can just imagine some of the stories they could tell about their trip there.
Did you tell them your old house is used to having a doxie in it????

I can't wait to meet these people. And see their horses. I think they went by the house last night to check things out. I went by after work yesterday to close the windows and the barn door, which I opened yesterday morning to air things out. I went by this morning to open the windows again, and the barn door was open. So I think they stopped by for a peek. :O}
Wouldn't it be neat if they had a doxie? The deck is all set up to keep a little dog contained, and out of the corral, if needed.
Congratulations Patty and Dan! Bubbly all around.
How thoughtful you are !!! You will just have to let them know a doxie needs to rule their roost !!!!
Congrats on getting this done !

I feel sorry for them. Twelve days on the road, from Kansas to Alaska, with three horses in tow. Sounds like a lot of misery and $$$ to me. If that was me.....exhausted, nothing unpacked, I'd sure appreciate finding a bottle of champagne in the fridge. I even left two plastic "glasses." I have always planned to do SOMETHING when we sold the house............after having read about someone doing it in a magazine. The original plan was to get a fire ready to light in the woodstove, have a bouquet of flowers on the counter and a bottle in the fridge. At least I got the bottle part done and a "welcome to Alaska" card.
