Title: Wish us luck!!
Post by: MindyKay on June 30, 2006, 09:00:18 AM
Tomorrow we are moving Amy out of our house.  She will be renting a house with 3 other girls for the rest of her college career, and she has told us that she will probably NOT be moving home, ever.  She has tons of friends who are always looking for apartment-or-house-mates so she will always have a place to live.

She knows, however, that we would let her move back in, if necessary, but I'm sure this is it.  So, now I have an extra room in the house that I need to figure out what to do with.

Still, between Roger, Amy, and me, we usually do not undertake a major project such as moving without getting into a argument, so rayz are requested that our arguments are just over small things.

Hope everyone has a good holiday weekend!!!!

Mindy, my thoughts are with you. Randy and I have been slowly realizing the same thing. When Meghan decided to stay in Nashville this summer, we knew that she was emptying our nest a little ealier than we had expected. Her original plan had been to stay there after she graduates next year and work for at least 1-2 years and then possibly go to grad school. Now she has decided to do grad school right after she graduates, so she will be home next summer so she can work lots of hours without any expenses. After that, she will be moving out. It has been so strange this summer and I can just imagine how you and Roger must be feeling.
I wish her all the best. For you, enjoy coming up with some ideas for the empty room. Just make sure there is a bed somewhere for her to crash on when she comes to visit! I hope the move goes smoothly and the only tears are the emotional ones. If they aren't, you can always say they are. It's a mother's right!!

By the way, Meg told me a couple of months ago I could have her closet. She was surprised when she came home for a few days to see I had really taken it over! I think she may be careful about what she says until she actually moves out!
