They will be FINE!!! Relax mom! Easier said than done, I know. Will say a prayer for a safe teeth cleaning for both.
Awwww Barb. It's no fun waiting! I'm sure they will be just fine and come home with shiny white teeth! In the meantime...mega rays coming your way!
Rudy went first and they called me mid-stream and said he had a cracked molar....so that had to come out too. He finished up about 15 minutes ago and is starting to wake up....whew......
Now Brandy is going in.........

I was just getting ready to answer that I had called and Brandy was still on the table (about 30 minutes ago) BUT they just called !!!
Brandy is waking up - and she lost several teeth - various places in her mouth - I can't remember what all she told me - but will look at the report when I pick them up. They were loose and decaying. Her last dental was 2 yrs ago - so they have gotten worse since then. I guess I should be glad she has any - her first 5 1/2 yrs of her life - who knows if she had any kind of supplements at all.....I will make myself do better cleaning her teeth - I use the wipes, but don't do every day and I should.
So both my babies are up, groggy and will be going home with antibiotics and pain meds. The technician said Rudy is doing fine also and lets out a howl every once in a while.
I can't wait to go get them and take them home !!!
Thanks so much for the good thoughts and rays - they DO help !!!
I think they will be awfully happy to see there mama today and to get home where they can snuggle and snooze!
Goodness, they are going to be two happy groggy doxies when you pick them up! Good for you to keep on top of their teeth, it is so scary when they are asleep but such a relief to know it's done! I'll bet they snooze like babies this evening.
Sending healing rays to R & B. I am sure they will be pampered and get to eats lots of their favorite soft foods. Eggies, yogurt, cottage cheese, applesauce--YUM!
Keep us updated.
Lots of rays coming your way for both babies!
I hope it went well!
HOpe it went well. White toofies, YAY!!!

dd - you are right on.......they were 2 groggy little puppers when I picked them up - so pitiful. When we got home, I set Brandy down and she couldn't even walk a straight line - BUT, the didn't want to lie down either - they kept walking around the house and the back yard - I think just looking and SO glad to be home! The vet said not to feed them very much - but I knew they had to be starving ! So scrambled eggs they got - hand fed by mama so they wouldn't scarf them up and get sick. We sat outside for a while - I think they were just glad to be out in the open after being in a crate at the vets all day. When they went out for the 10:00 pp - they were both walking much better. Anitibiotics and pain meds wrapped in cheese and we were off to bed. This morning - they were much better - I fed them both soft food and another scrambled egg and will try tonight to see if Rudy is able to eat his kibble.
Thanks for all the good thoughts - it is so very scary when they have to put them under. I will wait a couple days and then look around in their mouths. Rudy had the one molar extracted and Brandy had 7 teeth removed - ACK ! She was able to eat fine though - so that is good.
