I had to take a urine sample from Max this morning. He's definitely losing bladder control in his old age and the vet wanted to rule out any kind of kidney disfunction. Max was remarkably cooperative when I placed the cup under him. He shot me a quick glance like "What are you doing?" and then turned his head back to do his normal business. Fortunately, Max does his first pee of the day on all fours, so collecting the sample was easy.
Happily, his urine test came back normal...no kidney disfunction. That's good news for a 17+ year old dachsie.
I'm glad his kidneys are okay. That's good news, though sorry to hear about the leakage. Max is doing so well for his age.
Great news !!! go Max!
Thats very good to hear, Emmma had the same look when I slipped a saucer under her.

When Randy brought Molly home from the vet Wednesday, he laughingly told me that I needed to try to get a urine sample from her on Monday evening. The first thing I thought of was your post! He did say that he looked at Dr. Creel and said "Female, Bulldog, I'm not so sure about that." Dr. Creel told Randy he was really just kidding around, he didn't think it would be too easy to do unless we caught her in her half-asleep mode! He is supposed to take her back to his office Tuesday morning for a few hours for them to check her out instead.
