Title: How Come It's ALL about Madderoo?
Post by: Sandishooligans on June 16, 2006, 11:07:31 AM
Hello, dis is Dolly.  I was wunderin' if any of you doggities wiff a sissy or brudder have dis problem.  My sissy, Madderoo, seems to tink dat everyting is HERS.  Da bones are hers.  Da blankies are hers.  The sunspot is hers.  What am I left wiff?  NUTHIN'!  Why, just dis morning, I wanted to crawl under da quilt on da couch but big fat Madderoo was sitting on the whole ting!  I ended up curled up on da couch wiff no quilt at all.  The NOIVE!  And last night, we got bully stix and Madderoo wanted MY stick and not hers.  I finally gave in, cuz she squeaks so much dat it hurts my ears.  She ended up with da long stick and you guessed it, I ended up with the short end of da stick.  Now I'm not the type to bully anyone (except big dawgs when I'm under a blankie or behind a fence) but dis is gettin' out of paw.  What can I do?  Any of you other pup pals have a problem sissy or brudder who wants to hog everything?  I want to hear from you.  WOOF!

Not only DAT but she thinks shes gotta have da spot closest to mama when we go to bed!  Yup...mama says we gots to take turns and den da minute she's asleep Buelah nudges us away!  I don't know WHY we take dis from her!  Probley cuz sometimes she can be nice.  She most always lets me an Oscy graze in her food dish when she's done an she always leaves some on da sides for us.
I guess we jus gots to put up wif it Dolly.  It's a hard world bein a dachsie sometimes!

Willy and Alex here:  We have a similar problem with our sissy Misty.  Everything was pretty mellow in our house before she came to live with us, when it was just us two boys.  Misty can be SO RUDE.  She butts in every time we are getting any loves from mom.  Always has to have the best stick, the one thats all broken in.  When mom is holding one of us, Misty is down there bouncing up and down like a pogo stick wanting mom to pick her up.  Never a moments peace!!!  Then in the morning, after we've had breakfast and gone outside, we boys like to burrow back under the covers on the big bed for a short nap before we have to go into our "room" with the wire walls.  Do you think Misty will leave us alone???  NOOOOOOOOOO!  She has to be bouncing on us, whining at us to get up and generally making a real pill out of herself.  When we move under the covers, she attacks from up top.  So, we feel your pain.
Title: Ho Hum....the life of having a bratty sister.....
Post by: Barb on June 16, 2006, 12:48:12 PM
Dis is Rudy Ivey and my paw goes straight up when answering the bratty sister question.  Brandy has to always hog in when I am getting lovies from mom - she just pushes her way in and licks mom on the mouth.  She also barks a high pitch bark when we both have chew sticks - because she always thinks mine is better.

Phewwwwww..... AAAAAND - I finally just give it up - cause she is very loud, piercing and ANNOYING.

The one thing she doesn't do is bother MY toys and they are ALL mine.....   :2funny:   Every once in a while - but not very often at all - she will grab the toy from me a few times and run after it when mama throws it - but she gets tired really quick - so I guess that is ok   :dontknow:   The other kinda good thing is that after she is finished with her food bowl - she does let me lick it clean !

It does get tedious having  a bratty sister.....but well....and I can't believe I am saying this - most of the time, I am glad she's around.......

Guess we just have to learn to live with them girlies...... :doah:

See?  I knews I wasn't the only one.  I 'speshully heard the "butts in when I'm gettin' loves."  Dat's Madderoo all over!  She can't STAND for someone else to get 'ttenshun.   :doah:  But, as was mentioned, sissies and brudders can be nice too.  Maddie is very good at making sure I'm all clean.  She loves to give me baffs wiff her tongue.  And she lets me give her a good lickin' too.  And on cold nights, she feels good all snuggled up against me.  I'm loving hearing from all my friends.  Anyone else with brudder/sissy tails?

Tail wags,
Dolly

Well, li'l bearded one, there ARE 'vantages of having your mommy ALL to yourself.  You don't have to share her.  You get ALL da treats.  You get MOST of the big bed.....sigh.....BUT........

I think I'll stick wiff my Madderoo.  She's squeaky and she's kinda shellfish sometimes but....well....what can I say?  She's MY Madderoo and I wuv her....even if she doesn't have a brain in her head. :idiot:

Zack here.  Boy do I have some tales about stinky baby sissy's.  She is always running around and she likes to run right at me and knock me over or jump on my back.  Mom hollers at her when she does that cause she doesn't want back problems here. When we are wrestling she always kind of lays to her side and bites my front legs and feet :cussing: I don't like that at all!!  She always wants to get on dad's lap when I am up there but he lets her come up for a while and when she starts getting antsy he puts her down. :nana:

On the plus side we have been getting more treats and if I take her bully stick she will back down and let me have it when I do my big growl. :2funny: Sometimes she will lay down next to me and sleep like any sane puppy but that doesn't happen often.  She and I sit and wash each others ears too. Mom says she will try to get a picture to post. The good thing is that I can open her cage and let her out so when mom puts her in it to keep her out of trouble, like when she is relaxing in the tub. If she doesn't put the clip on the latch I can let her out and if we get into trouble I can look innocent :angel4: and blame it on her. :thumb:
