My parents left this morning for a 10 day Alaskan cruise. Koby & Tiff moved in last night for the two weeks. We went through the normal "female, I'm the boss" moments between Tiff & Libby. That lasts for about 5 minutes and then they are buddies. There were 4 doxies sleeping in my bed last night. Eric is out of town for a couple of days, so there was lots of room. I'm not sure where Eric will sleep when he gets back. Koby was up all night. Everytime he comes over, he does not sleep the first night. He paces the bed and stares at the door, waiting for my parents to come back and get him. He usually settles down the second night and is fine the rest of the visit. These two have really bonded with my parents and it has been really good for my parents to have them. It had been over a year since their bichon crossed the bridge and they had gotten in the habit of coming home and watching tv until bedtime. Now they take the pups for a walk around the block every night and play with them. I think one of the reasons Koby has a hard time sleeping the first night is that my dad usually does not go to bed until 1am. Koby sits in the recliner with him and keeps him company until he goes to bed, Tiff on the other hand, heads to bed early with my mom. I think my 10pm bedtime throws off his system. They are such good pups (except for chasing the cats) and they enjoy their visits with us, but I can tell they would rather be with my parents in their calm house. I will try to get pics of the 4 of them together, while they are here.
Sounds like you're going to have a fun two weeks! It is so wonderful to hear how great Koby and Tiff are doing, and I'm glad that they have made such good companions for your parents. Bless you for taking Koby and Tiff into your home and giving them a forever home with your parents. They sure are two lucky puppers!!!
Have fun during the two weeks, and I hope that Koby settles down and sleeps tonight. I know that an insomniac doxie means an insomniac hooman too! Hehehehe! Belly rubs to Koby, Tiff, Sergeant, and Libby!
Sounds like it will be a wild and busy 2 weeks !!! I am jealous of your parents !!! An Alaskan cruise is one of my dreams :thumb:
It is so heartwarming to hear how Koby and Tiff have settled in with your parents - thats so cute that Koby is waiting on his dad to come get him and take him home to "their" recliner !!!!! I am sure he will settle in today - he is probably exhausted (as you are !!!!).
Can't wait to see pictures of the quad !
Isn't it great the way they are taken to your folks? Looking forward to seeing pictures.
I just love hearing about those two little "untrainable monsters"! LOL....
It does my heart good to know that they are in such a loving home and that they have you and Eric and the girls as well! I look forward to the pictures!
I love hearing about Koby and Tiff. I am so happy for them and for your parents. This was one of "supposed to be" things. We know who the "untrainable monster" really was in their situation. LOL!
Glad they are having a great life now. Does anyone ever hear from his former owner??
And aren't you the lucky fur family
Each time I hear about Koby & Tiff, it makes my day! The stories just get better. Sounds like their family was made just for them. The puppers needed the right people and the people needed the puppers! Good luck to all!
I just love to hear about Tiff and Koby. Such monsters! How DO you handle them? So glad they've bonded with their new mommy and papa.
