Our household has been really crazy the last couple of months. I have been trying to catch up on all of the posts and feel really behind. We should find out this week if we are getting a transfer to Okinowa. I am really hoping for the transfer. It would be for three years and will be a great experience for us and the girls. We also put in for Australia, but did not get that position. I have been doing a lot of reading on what needs to be done to get the puppers ready for the move. As soon as I find out we are going, the puppers have to go in for a blood test to prove they have the rabies antigens (I think that was the word). This has to be done six months before we leave. We will also have to get Libby microchipped at the same time and schedule her spaying. I had put it off, but with my luck she will go into heat when we are in the process of moving. We are only allowed to take 2 pets, so we will have to find homes for the two cats. A friend has offered to keep one of the cats (she already has one cat of her own) for the 3 years, but I need to see if my aunt will keep the psychotic cat.
This week we will also find out if Eric is getting promoted. The list is supposed to be released on Wednesday and we really have our fingers crossed!
Koby & Tiff are coming over tomorrow to stay for two weeks. My parents are going on a 10 day cruise out of Alaska. My parents are really excited about the cruise. We are excited about Koby & Tiff staying for a couple of weeks. It will be fun having a house (and bed) full of dogs for a couple of weeks. Although Koby & Tiff enjoy staying with us, we could tell they were releved to be home last time. I guess between my two pups wanting to play all the time and all of the noise from kids in the house, they look forward to the calmness of my parents house.
I have missed writing over the last few weeks and am glad to finally have to time to catch up.
