Story about me that my Hoomans would like to share: Looie was a rescue pup. He has been with us for 13 and a half months now. There was an article in our local newspaper one morning talking about the doxies (and a myriad of other dogs and animals) that a Judge ruled would NOT be returned to the owner (there were close to 50 animals) living in very bad conditions, and they were available to view at the local shelter and available for adoption. When I arrived at work, my boss and my staff person said I needed to go and see the doxies so at lunch time, my staff person and I headed to the shelter. I called Dave and told him what I was doing and he said go for it. We arrived at the shelter and in Crate #9, was Looie......he was so timid but the look he gave me reached for my soul. It said, please take me home. It was love at first sight and I wasted no time filling out the paperwork. He was so thin -- he only weighed five-six pounds -- you could see his back bone and rib cage so clearly!
We were interviewed and selected to adopt Looie -- hence he came to live with us on May 2, 2005. He is now at 11 pounds and I thank God everyday, that we adopted him. He truly is a love bug Sarge and Looie have gotten along so good -- they knew -- you would think that they have been together since puppyhood. Sarge is very tolerant and patient with Looie .. and allows him to climb all over him and sleep on top of him, by his side, etc.

The Sarge and Looie remind me of Rudy & Max in their younger days. Except that Rudy could be a lot meaner to Max that Looie is to the Sarge. I hope the two of them enjoy many, many years together.
