We were among the fortunate ones who got a chance to meet Leopold on several occasions. I dug through my photo archives and found a few photos of him that I wanted to share with everyone.

To kind of give you an idea long how Poldie was, here is one of him with Skeeter (smooth b/t), Rudy-angel (smooth dark red), and Basie (longhaired b/t). The "tail" at the bottom of the picture I think is Archie-angel's. Poldie won "Longest Dog" at the 1999 Dachshund Circus Bow Wow. Only Archie eclipsed him in length.

..and finally one of Leopold with Rudy-angel & Max. They are all showing their booties to the camera!

We'll miss you Poldie!
Thank you so much for sharing these pictures, David. Poldie is a gorgeous hairy guy! Those foofy feet are the BEST! Rest easy, Leopold.
What a sweet face Poldie had. Thanks for sharing these with us, David.
What a sweetheart he was- thank you so much for sharing. It brings tears to my eyes - but I know he is now pain free at the Bridge - romping with his brother Archie, Rudy and all his other doggie friends. Thanks David for the tribute to sweet Poldie.
Thanks for the pictures, David. He is now resting without pain. What a beautiful boy he was.
Oh this breaks my heart....Leopold has always been a favorite of mine since I first got on this board. I know Jeri and Kevin did everything possible for him, I'm so sorry to hear they lost their sweet boy. Thanks for the pictures David.
Awww, he was a handsome guy. My sympathies to his mom and dad. Wonderful pictures, David. Now Poldie is romping at the bridge with all our sweet doxie pals...no pain and lots of fun!!
Thank you for posting these photos, David. Poldie was seldom a cooperative photographic subject, so most pics I have of him are blurry, and I pretty much gave up on trying to photograph him in recent years. This first photo is certainly the best taken recently, and perhaps the best ever. Having this picture helps more than worda can say.
Jeri
I'm pretty sure I have at least one or two "print" pictures of Poldie in the house, too. I just need to find them...
David C.
You are such a wonderful person. In all my time on this board I have watched you try and help the members that need (including Penny Lane and myself). And you also celebrate the good times. I just wanted you too know that, I think you are truly special!
Thank you Lori for the very kind words. You made my day.
I don't post here as often as I would like to these days, but I do check in usually once a day to see how things are going.
I know it it the same with me. I miss the closeness of the old board. But this board has a lot more to offer.
But I truly meant everything I said! And I want you to know I am grateful as I know the rest of us are, for you and all that contribute!
