Title: Crack of dawn Madderoo
Post by: Sandishooligans on May 24, 2006, 11:50:23 AM
My girls have always gotten us up around 6:00 or so for their breakfast.  THAT I can deal with.  Recently though, the Roo has decided she wants to get up around 4:45!  What's up with that?  Yes, it's lightening out by that time, but Mommy needs to SLEEP......and papa's too.....and papa's grumble when they don't get their sleep.  Sometimes I can shove her under the covers for a little more shut-eye but usually she is QUITE insistent by 5:30.  I wonder if it's the warmer weather?  Or maybe the fact that there's critters around the trees, up in the trees or sitting on the fence that make her eager to scamper outside?  Any way I can turn her clock forward a bit so that she squeaks at us at a less ungodly hour?  Dolly, by the way, just sleeps on until her sissy persists and wakes her up.  Grrrrrrrr.

When you get hom try keeping them moving before you go to bed (like a walk or something along those lines) to tucker them out. See if that helps. Our neighbor has been aking Bish on walkies everyday (good thing b/c she feeds him wet food for breakfast and our 10.8lb little boy is getting chunky - 11.6lbs porker)and when we get home we play with him then about 8:30pm we tell him its leepy time and his ears perk up and we go to bed. Gabe & I wake up at 6am and Bish gets up goes potty then goes right back to bed. Good luck with your zzzzzzz's!

we are now feeling the benufits of winter, ours are not up now at ungodly hours.
What helped us was black out curtains and if the air was running. But even now when the heating turns on its all paws on deck.

It will change when they get older.  Max will snooze as long as their are people snoozing with him.
