Title: Al Martin
Post by: Dee Dee and Hallie on May 23, 2006, 12:22:49 PM
For those who knew Al Martin (who owned Noodles and Happy) I just learned that he passed away suddenly this Sunday. :( Very sad, he and his wife Ann had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and they recently lost Noodles.

That is very sad.  Wasn't he the gentleman that Patty was asking about a couple weeks ago?

Rays going out to his wife and family.

I was just thinking about him a couple weeks ago and asked if anyone here remembered him.  I'm sorry to hear he passed away.  He was definitely a character.

Sad news indeed.  I always enjoyed Al's posts even though he could get cantankerous at times.  He'll be missed.  Thanks, DD, for passing along this news.

DD - if you see Ann, please give her my condolences.  They lost Happy, then Noodles, and now Al.  I know the tragedy of threes all too well!

If anyone would like Ann's email, please email me and I'll give it to you. I didn't know they lost Happy, Julia, when was that? Gosh poor Ann...

They may have lost Happy too, I don't think I heard that if so but I didn't keep in close contact with them so very well could be? I'll send you her email, I hope Ann is living close to at least one of their children.
