I have been posting for two and a half years....since Buelah (my first dachsie) came into my life.
I have had the opportunity to spend time with Julie and her Sgt. and Libby! We had an awesome little pool-party play date at my house last summer. I was also able to meet one of Julie's beautiful daughters who joined our party!
I began posting in December of 1999, shortly after Rudy came home with us in November of 99.

I think it's been approxiamately 2 1/2 -3 years for me. Sue Shumard in Missouri had a hand in helping me find it and since I did I've gotten to talk to alot of people throughout the States and out of the States.I met Mike in Danville Illinois at the Midwest Dachshie Fest 2 years ago.I'm very glad that this is here.

Ok Mike - you are testing my memory !!! We got Rudy in January of 2001 and it was a few months before I became obsessed (not with him - that happened in one day...) with finding informtion on dachshunds. I've been posting and reading for a little over 3 years. Cajsa turned 3 in Feb and I started posting the end of March when she came home with us.
I've not had the priviledge of meeting anyone on the board but I have spoken to Krista and Barb on the phone.

Mike, I'm bummed that we never got to meet, even though we didn't live that far from each other! Oh well, there's always visits back to my sister's in Aurora!
We brought Schatzi home in January of 2004 and I started posting that same week. I haven't met anyone, but have talked to Eileen (mom to Schnitzel, Strudel, and Kleine), several times on the phone. Hopefully one day I will get to meet Patty in Alaska if Randy and I are able to make our trip next summer. I keep thinking I'm going to take a road trip with Meghan and meet others, but it just hasn't happened yet.
I started lurking on the board in the fall of 2000, researching the breed in anticipation of getting a dachshund. I guess I "officially" became a member when we got Zuzu in January of 2001.
I have met Gail & Colin from Scotland and Lori Stinner, but chat regularly with Mike, Julia S. and sometimes Rich, Dave & Dee and Merion. (Who did I forget?) In addition, I have corresponded with Jeri and Dee Dee, and have received some lovely cards from many of you at Christmas and we always look forward to the photos of the furkids!!!!!!! I used to e-mail Glenda regularly, but her health got really bad, and we lost touch...

Well, you had a lot going on all at once with Kelly in Iraq and Lara on the way. Definitely let us know when you'll be visiting your sister. What part of Aurora does your sis live in? I went to grade school on the east side and lived near Waldo Jr High.

I have been posting since Sgt was about 6 months old, so that would be about 2 years now. We were lucky enough to meet Terri, Oscy & Buelah, the puppers had lots of fun swimming togetherd. It was a couple of days before Toby moved in with them. We also met Jarrett when we picked up Koby & Tiff from them.
Oh my, I think it's going on 10 years! The Dachshund Circus was THE very first thing I found on the internet and I've made it my homebase since. I've had the privilege of meeting a fair many of you.
