How did you and your Mom do today? :apls: :apls: :apls: :apls: Belly rubs and kisses from Sarge and Looie!!
Yeah! We want to know how it went! I bet you did super :thumb:
We are in the doghouse LOL. Poor baby...the minute we walked out on the field, it started to POUR rain. It was a deluge, the judge was nice and let me put Hallie's coat Ron and Delia made her on her which helped a little but she just couldn't muster the courage to do a "down" in the soaking wet grass. We were both drenched, and yet she did a 9 minute sit (was supposed to be a down but I wasn't going to force her) without moving (with me 30 paces away with my back to her). I was really proud of her but the no downs were a flunk. It figures since it was gorgeous all week, that it would start to rain as soon as we got there. :doah: I'll post pictures some friends took of us, you can see by the black parts of my purple coat how wet it was. Someone got a towel drying and into her crate in the van with fluffy blankies as soon as we were done. The judge loved her though and went on about how cute she was, and that she was sorry she had to flunk her. We'll try again, but the next trial isn't until October at this point and the weather will probably be cruddy then too. The bottom one is the group figure 8, there are 4 people to heel around.
Here is a link to three pages of photos I took there, it isn't snowing, those are rain drops, this camera has such a fast shutter speed it stops the raindrops as round spheres rather than blurry streaks which is distracting!

a couple more...(the group one the judge, in the pouring rain, is apologizing for not being able to pass us lol) Second one Hallie is doing the "honoring" of the other dog, she was supposed to be in a down here but a sit was more than enough to ask given the weather...although it's hard to tell if she's sitting or not she's so short! I was off to the right standing with my back to her for the 9 minutes, it is hard to resist turning to glance at her. She never budged though. On the bottom one, she is doing the recall, I am 30 paces from her on the left. We had just heeled for 12 paces, I said "SIT!" which she did while I kept walking for another 30 paces, then I turn and on the judges command I say "COME" and she comes running, then she goes to heel. You can see the dog who is honoring her in the background, who is actually doing the down. :)
Porky here: I fink that Princess Hallie should have won anyways!! Sheez...all the crazy hoomans fink anyone should lay down in wet grass?! Are they crazy?! Hallie did better than I would have done. My momma would'nt have been able to get me out in that rain!! I prefer to be a pampered prince and stay inside when its bad weather like that. Only sunshine for me thanks. At least they should have had a pretty award or somefing for Hallie, after all that hard work she did! I hope you demanded lots of treats Hallie.
Heh, I knew we were in trouble when we got up that morning and I opened the back door to let her out to potty, she saw the rain and did a 180 and came right back into the house. :thinik:
Hallie here: I like the way you think Porky!!! I not only got my feets wet, but that rain mussied up my hair! The only good thing is Mom has been making it up to me since I had to go out in that wet stuff. I did get lots of attention and fresh deer liver but I don't plan on going out in the rain anytime again soon!
Wez wif you haillie, us long hairs continue to sop dat stuff. But wez is still proud of you at least you went out in it, how come only mumzy had the hat.
Da gang
Win or lose that is still one beautiful girl! Nice job Miss Hallie! Even with wet hair you are still gorgeous!
