Okay..so many of you have seen the movie the Ugly Dachshund...I love and have it.
Well our standard poodle Bella is exactly like that movie.
Because Ninya raised her and Och is her mentor she really thinks she can do what they do and it is so funny to watch. She wants to lay on our lap..she is waist high and wieghs 90lbs. When we have the other two on our laps she tries to climb up on our laps as well and wellllll :scratch: she doesn't fit. When we goforrides she wants to sit up front with us...but just her alone fills the seat. She tries to make herself as small as possible whenever she lays with them. We don't feel that it is fair to discriminate and since she thinks she is a dachshund we make the otehr two sit in the back with her when we goforrides. AND when Ninya will allow it we let her sit on our laps before our legs go numb. She has now taken to sleeping on the sofa and climbing into bed with us (when Nin permits). The problem is Ninya is very teritorial and so she is limited to Ninya's moods. Even Ochoco gets growled at if she is in one of her moods and he is much bigger than her but she is the alpha and they both know to not mess with her.
Does anyone else have a wannabe?

I have the movie too and am giggling at the image of sweet Bella trying to be small like the doxies !!!!
BG (my "super" mutt - 65-70lbs) is a total wannabe has been since she ws a puppy. She swears left & right that she is still "only" the 15 lb puppy that I adopted 3 1/2 years ago, and Bishop - when he is around her swaers that he is as tall as her (on his hind legs he is :wink: ) they are a riot to watch play I would post a pic of the two but all my pics are bigger than 200KB
I don't have any wannabes, but I do love that movie!! It sounds so funny that Bella is acting the same way. Got any cute pictures of her in the "act" of becoming a dachshund. I sure would like to see them if you have any. LOL They would be adorable I am sure.
I can just picture Bella trying to be a doxie! LOL!!! She sounds like a sweetheart.
