Hey all!
I know this sounds COMPLETELY BAZAAR, but I think Lilly is mad at me. I came home last night and she was outside playing. Normally she comes to me and goes nuts. However, she has discovered a rabbit hole just behind the fence in our yard. I understand that she was going nuts for hours last night. But, when we brought her in, she would not come to me and we got into bed and it was like she just ran from me. S/O got up this morning and she ran to his side of the bed and just laid there. She would not come to me, she usually jumps right on top of me.
Am I losing it?

It has happened to all of us, I am sure....we don't act exactly as they wish we do and they get THE ATTITUDE !!!! Give her a couple of extra treats and I bet she is a mommys girl again !
Sounds like Miss Lilly is asserting her independence! My Buelah, the diva of all dachsies is just the same way!
I'm with Barb....bribe her with treats! LOL...it's the one thing that even a Queen Dachsie can't resist!
Great advice! I never thought of it as attitude, but hey, I guess she is acting like a 13 year old little princess. LOL
THanks a bunch. I cannot believe I took it so personally
Our Misty girl is the same way, she likes to play hard to get. When you want to hold her or something, suddenly she has to scratch her head or go get a drink of water. OR worse, she will come and cuddle up and after two seconds just runs off. Its just attitude. They are SO smart, they know what you want and they just figure they will mess with you.
I call it CAT-itude (http://flowerkitty.tripod.com/smile/tiger.gif) eLlIe (http://flowerkitty.tripod.com/smile/tiger.gif)
Madderoo here. I'm gweat at the 'tude thing. When I'm mad at mommy or papa, not only do I 'nore them, I also purposely piddle in the house. Yep! I really show dem! :angel4:
I dont get it Madderoo, if your like my Lilly baby, Im sure your not beaten or locked outside all day and night, or any other horrible thing to think of. Im sure you also get so much love and affection and probably anything your little heart wants. What could POSSIBLY make you little ones angry with us? ;-0
My Gabbe will get mad at me from time to time and pout. It can be a very small thing that sets her off. One day, she was on the couch with me and Max wanted up. Gabbe decided she didn't want him on the couch and barked at him. I picked him up and put him on the couch and she was so mad, she went to the opposite end of the couch and hung her head off the end. She would not look at me. She pouted for about half an hour and then she came back and got in my lap. They are just like children!!
