Annie went to the Rainbow Bridge this morning a little after 10:15 am. She had a big breakfast of eggies, chicken, and cheese then we took her to the park for a little while. She was perfectly calm the whole way to the vet. It was the first time she wasn't nervous and shaking which reassured us that we were making the right decision. Johnny held her while the tranquilizer took effect. After the final shot, she was gone in just a matter of seconds. We stayed with her for a little while afterwards to say our final good-byes.
This was defintely the hardest decision that either of us had to make and we are experiencing a roller coaster of emotions now. Berman seems to be fine and hasn't really noticed that Annie's not here.
Jenny - I am so sorry that you had to make that decision - it is never easy! You and your family are in our thoughts. Let us know if you need anything!
Sounds like Annie had a peaceful passing....so sorry for your loss. Thoughts are with you from Colorado today.
I am very sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers. I know that must have been an incredibly tough decision to make, but it sounds like you did the right thing for Annie. May you always treasure the good times you had with her.
Just having had to do this with Zelda I understand how you are feeling. Zack seems to have changed a little since his mom is gone. I know Annie appreciated how much you loved and cared about her and the wonderful life you have given her since you got her. Sending HHHHH's & PPPPP's to you all. Give Berman an extra hug from us too.
Merion & Zack

Jenny, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Such a tough decision to have to make, but Annie is running free at the Bridge today.
Jenny & Johnny,
You gave Annie a loving home and gave her all the love she needed. Hard decisions are hard to make and tough on our hearts but you did right. Know that Annie Angel is pain free and running and playing with all the doxie angels and she is watching over you. She knew the love you had for her. We're saddened at your loss, but she will always be in your heart and in ours. Bless you and hugs to you -- you are in our thoughts and prayers. God-Speed, Annie! Dee, Dave, Sargey and Looie
I can't imagine what you feel. What a sucker punch. Bless you for the wonderful, loving home you gave this girl. Bless you for helping her to the bridge in such a caring way. If there were more people like you folks, the world would be a better place.

Having just gone through this myself with Rudy, I can truly empathize with you. Rest assured you made the right decision. You can take considerable solace that Annie's final months were in a loving home that she so richly deserved. Eventually the immediate pain of the loss will fade and the happy memories will remain.
I know that you and your family are missing Annie tremendously. You gave her a loving home right up to the very end. She crossed the Bridge with happy memories and loving arms holding her all the way. Not all tears are bad, for they bring cleansing of our grief. Thank you for your gift to Annie.
So sorry to hear about your loss. Hugs on the way from Iowa.
Oh Jenny, I am so sorry. You gave that sweet girl a wonderful and loving home. She always knew how much you loved her. Now she is pain free and can run and play with all the doxies at the Bridge.
