Yes, we had a great time at the new house yesterday when mom and dad were at work. They double-gated us in the laundry room, but we had a plan. We decided that if we worked as a team, and pushed and pushed, we could get that gate to fall out into the hallway. It worked!!! During the day we were ALL OVER that house! We went into mom's super-plush bathroom and shredded all the tissue in the waste basket. Then we peed in the walk-in closet. That wore us out so we fluffed up the blanket on the couch and slept in the sun. Later we went upstairs and roughed up the bed and took naps on mom and dad's pillows. When mom came home, we all came running through the kitchen to greet her! You should have seen the look on her face! It was priceless!!! LOL!!! We didn't get in too much trouble, but we heard mom muttering that tomorrow she'll have a new gate plan.
Patty here: This morning I put a different gate up that they can't push out. Also, in order to distract them from my leaving, I gave them their cottage cheese and peanut butter stuffed frozen marrow bones when they went into "their room" like good little dogs. They were silent as I left.
We're all going through an adjustment period, but I think everything will settle down in a week or two. I tell you, its really rough......beautiful new home, beautiful spring weather with the sun pouring in those big windows......its a tough job but someone has to live there!
OMG - too funny - :2funny:
I bet they had a blast.......I can just imagine the look on your face !!!!!!
Hope they didn't tear up too much - and they went up the stairs ???? Oppppps !!!!
Wow! It sounds like you guys had so much fun! Better be careful about peeing in the closet though mom may not approve of that!
Oh darn! Where the Dachsie cam when ya need it? That would have been wonderful.....er....wienerful entertainment.

Yeah, I guess you could say they "christened" the place!
Patty, Maybe you should put a couple of piddle pads out, just in case they do escape again. At least they may decide to potty in the right place and not keep christening new places! I could just imagine the joy on their faces. What I really wonder is "Who was the ringleader?"
