Loki is just like a little kid. Suddenly, she'll realize: "I have to pooh NOW!" (Bark/yelp) And then it's like she thinks, but "I am chewing, eating, napping, playing--I don't WANT to go outside yet!" Practically have to drag her out to poop. And then it has to be JUST the RIGHT spot. Leave a few p-mails, first, wander around....Aaaargh.
Today I took her forawalk and she decided to poop in a pile of leaves next to a chain link fence. By the time she turned around three times, her butt was up against the fence and she, ahem, "extruded" a pile through the link. gross
LOL :2funny:
Penny is the same way - she will be playing and running around and then it is like all the sudden she realizes that she has to go potty then races outside  But then she has to find the exact spot - go can tell she has to really go, but won't until the spot is found :idiot:. Crazy!!
Ozzy sits patiently by the door until I decide to take him out. If he gets desperate, he will walk into the room I'm in and give me the L@@K. Once outside, he turns into crazy-dog. I know when he has to poop because his tail is straight out and up. He has to find the absolute right place, which is fun in a 1-acre lot. Once the right area is found, he will pace back and forth several times, just to be sure it is the right place. He will squat and then, Oops that's not the exact right spot, so he "crabs" around, sometimes pratically standing on his front paws, until the absolute right spot is found.
He will also go on "poop walks," where he walks around and smells older poops. :idiot:
Zelda always would start to circle arouns in smaller and smaller circles till the front was staying in one place and just the rear was moving then she would go. Her son Zack does the same thing. :runaway: Circles at least 10 times and then turns faster and faster and finally goes. Zeke would always like to go under a tree or something....lots of fun trying to pick up from under a low pine tree or shrub.

Chilie doesn't do that exactly.....she's got her pooping down to a predictable schedule: once in the morning, and then again in the afternoon. If she REALLY needs to go, she'll bark and jump around like she wants to play, and then she runs to the door. But when she gets outside, she takes her sweet old time finding just the right spot. Yesterday we were a couple doors down from our apartment, and Chilie decides that the perfect time to poo is right when the neighbor is coming outside....and this is right in their little front yard! Good think I hadn't forgotten to bring along my poop bag! LOL!
Here's another question: after taking the poo, do your doxies come in the house with an abundant amount of energy? Chilie always has a lot of energy afterwards, like she has just gotten rid of what's dragging her down.

LOL!! Penny is the same way - totally possesed after she poops! She runs around the house like a crazy woman!
And then we have the rainy days where ... God forbid...we are sent out to poo!
In DA RAIN? Are you a CRAZY mama, or what?
Porky does this too! :2funny: Its really funny because you can tell he needs to go really bad, but he just keep running in circles trying to find the perfect spot!! Yesterday and today have been especially hard because his spots are limited. We got over a foot of snow this weekend, so depending on where he walks he could fall into a drift and get buried. It's really funny, because he will walk to the edge of the snow and bark at it, like that will make it move somehow. :2funny: Hasn't worked yet though.
Rudy is so funny - if he is in the house, he will come find me and turn around and look at his hiney. Of course it is close to coming out - he has waited so long.....then, in true doxie tradition he will have to find the perfect spot !!!
Angel angus was the worst as he took about half the walk looking or smelling for the BEST SPOT. He would look as if he was going to go then change his mind. Amy is getting there, she goes and looks at you for praise. OLiver is draggging along on the leash then botty down, looks at me with " So I needed to go" and stnad up and runs again.

Gabbe has an odd PP process that I haven't ever seen another doxies exhibit. She will do the deep squat and then crane her neck around so she can watch herself go tinkle. She then will take a few steps while still tinkling and when she goes on concrete, she leaves a little piddle trail and mind you, she is still got the neck craned around watching herself. Is that weird, or what!! Any one else every see a female doxie do this??
