Patty I was just wondering if you got to close on the house and if the 19th was still the hopeful "first night" date. I hoping it is and that everything went smoothly last week. I don't blame you for waiting until the siding is finished before staying there all the time. We are in a condo and our neighbor is remodeling. The dogs are pretty good when we are here and the soundproofing is also pretty good, but we can still hear them hammering sometimes. Of course, he keeps calling the management company and complaining that the dogs are barking. Since I now know how little we can hear between the walls here, I think he is just trying to be difficult. Also, what does he expect if he is constantly in and out and hammering? Randy plans to call the management people tomorrow and talk with them and see what he can do. Geez. Some people!
At least you won't have neighbors right beside you!!! Just horses.
Hi Teresa, and thank you for your continued interest in how things are going with our new house. I'm not sure when closing is. But soon. There are so many variables........its hard to say exactly when something will happen. But, yes, we are still hoping to be in next weekend PROVIDED the workers are through, but I don't think they will ever be through with the little stuff that still nees to be done. We are currently planning on moving the dogs, and us, over real soon. We might leave the horses here at the old home for another week or two, until we can get the little details squared on their barn.........like a DOOR!!! Don't want them going out on a walkabout! Dan and I went over today, with the idea that we were just going to put some things away. But we spent about 2 hours sitting in our rocking chairs and looking out the big window wall at the trees that are being blown about by a pretty good wind. It was beautiful.

Oh some people just like to have something to complain about, and they won't giv'te people, or dogs, a break! Its good if Randy goes to bat for the dogs, I mean, what do they expect.........they are dogs, they are going to bark when something is amiss. Don't worry, what goes around comes around and they will get theirs. You get what you give, and if they can't show a little patience, well, someone won't show them some patience when they need it most either. I don't understand people these days.
Its all that little stuff that takes time.....it will happen soon.....and how fun will that be unpacking all the stuff....especially the hope chest !!!! I don't blame you sitting in the rockers......just enjoying the scenery !
Patty, Randy talked to the lady at the property management company today. It was so funny. He told her that we had a 10 pound mini doxie with a 30 pound bark who didn't like anyone in front of her door! The lady said she understood since she also had a mini-doxie. It seems that everything should be fine. I think our neighbor really does like to complain a lot and calls the office quite often. I just thought it was hilarious that the one person Randy talked to also had a doxie!
That is so cool!!! Thank goodness you have someone who understands and can handle this in a reasonable way.
