This afternoon I was sitting at the computer trying to clean out my email Inbox. Schatzi had already been quite impatient with me earlier in the afternoon when I was trying to hang a curtain rod. She knew it should be naptime and I wasn't cooperating. That meant that everytime I would step down off the ladder, she would run in little circles thinking it was time to nap. When I came to the computer instead, she was quite disappointed. She sat on my lap for awhile, and then hopped down. I thought she had gone up to the bed by herself. I was quite wrong. I guess Schatzi wanted me to know that she really wants a Chili-dog Bed and that she would use one. There was an old bed pillow in a pillowcase on the floor near the computer. When I started to walk in the direction of it, I saw movement. Suddenly Schatzi comes out from the pillowcase. She had snuggled herself in pretty good. Now, once again, I'm sitting at the computer and Schatzi has settled herself inside her pillow. Maybe I will order her the bed. Of course, the pillow and pillowcase is quite inexpensive!
I would love to see a picture of that :angel4:! What a smart little doxie!
You are so smart Schatzi! Think of how much money you are saving your momma by sleeping in a pillow case. Picture please?????
LOL !!!! My Brandy does that all the time !!! I finally got some flannel on one side/sheepskin on the other fabric and made a big pillow case and put a regular bed pillow inside of it. Thinking that she would just snuggle in the sheepskin pillowcase, I was so surprised to see her digging and still getting inside the regular pillow case !!! She just loves to be snuggly. When I am in the computer room, sometimes she gets in her chilly bed and sometimes she will just go to the big bed and get in the pillow case !!!!
What a cutie!!! She's so smart.
I plan to get a picture. I've just got to be sure I have the camera by the computer ready for the next time she does it. There's no way she's going to let me walk past her to get the camera without her curious little self following to see what I'm up to!
Our first female dachshund Gretel would do this too. I was trying to figure out how in the world she could have gotten out to the livingroom with barricades up then I saw the pillow move and went and looked and there she was with her nose barely covered. She would go in and turn around so she was facing back out. I can see a mini doing it but she was a good sized standard. After the first time it seemed like when she wanted to be covered up she frequently went for the pillowcases. :2funny:
