Both Lara and her daddy are sick. They've been sick all week. :sad4: Lara has a bad cold and an ear infection. Hubby has strep throat and an ear infection! Both went to see the doctor yesterday and are now on antibiotics, so they're on the road to recovery. Chilie and I are well; I've been washing my hands like crazy and wiping everything down with Clorox disinfecting wipes. I wish it were warm enough outside so I could open up the windows and get rid of the "sicky" air inside the house. Poor little Lara just feels so crummy and that keeps her from being able to nap. The past two days she has fallen asleep in my arms while I paced the floor with her.....my poor little girl! :sad7:
I hope everyone feels better soon. I have 5 kids, they are ages 26, 22, 20, 18 and 10. I remember how lousy everyone felt when they were little and sick. Hang in there and I'll :pray: and :xfinger: that you don't catch what they have!

Rays on the way from Iowa for a quick recovery. Amy came home Thursday afternoon, sick with a sinus infection. She went to the student health clinic, got diagnosed with the infection, got a doctor's note to take to where she works, then came home. She stayed in all weekend, which is very unusual for her. Still, it was nice to be able to take care of her, like when she was little.
She went back to campus yesterday. While she was packing up the car, Roger opened the door, thinking she had forgotten a box of shoes (which were mine), and Ozzy zipped out. He headed straight for Amy's car, thinking, "Finally!! I get to go with Amy!!!" I wish I had a camera to catch the look on his face, when Roger picked him up and he realized he wasn't going to go!!! He was in a funk for most of the evening!!!
Awwww, poor little Ozzy. Belly rubs to him! I sure hope that Chilie ends up feeling that way about Lara.
Is Amy in a dorm at college? Is this her first or second year at college? Will Ozzy be going with her when she moves into a place off campus (if she's going to do that)?
Amy is in her second year, majoring in Health Administration - Gerontology. She lives in the sorority (Alpha Phi) house right now, but will be moving into a rental house about 2 miles from campus this summer. She will be sharing the house with 3 other girls. The landlord will allow one dog, and one of the girls has a dog, but there is no other place for the dog to go (no surviving family). So, Ozzy will continue to live with us until Amy has graduated. I don't mind; Ozzy is a joy to have around, and it may work out that we will keep Ozzy permanently. Amy has mentioned that, if she and Josh stays together, they may jointly obtain a puppy. (Josh lost his beloved dog a couple of weeks ago.)
