Title: Rays for "cousin Bandit"
Post by: doxielady5569128 on February 21, 2006, 03:15:05 AM
Poor Bandit has had such a hard life.  My uncle Ty rescued Bandit nearly 1 1/2 years ago after he was abandoned and left to starve in his former owners home when they moved without him and their cats.  When my brother took him in he was very skinny and scared.  Bandit quickly got nourished and returned to a healthy dachshund.  He even made new friends Brittney a Brittaney spaniel and Patches a cat.  He couldn't have been happier!!  But, about a month ago, Bandit's best friend Brittney passed away of lung cancer.  Now Bandit is so sad!  All he does is mope around the house.  Please send rays that Bandit can find his happiness again!!!  We love him lots..  Here's my favorite picture of my cousin and my uncle Ty.

Hope Bandit feels happier soon.  They do go through the grief just like we do so it isn't too surprising.  He might also be more sensitive because his owners dumped him and now he has lost his friend.
Sending HHH's & PPPP's  :comfort: to Bandit.

Rays coming from Missouri for poor Bandit. It sounds like his poppa might ought to consider adopting him a pal:)

Cousin Bandit seems to be doing a little bit better this week.  He is now eating normally and drinking normally.  He still isn't too excited about playing yet.  I went to visit him and tried real hard to get him to play with me, but he just wouldn't.  My momma says that I was trying to play too rough and scared him.  I can't help it though.  It was just so much fun to crouch down like a kitty and take off running towards my cousin. ( FULL-SPEED ahead!)  I can't help it that cousin Bandit wouldn't move. so I jumped over him.  Mom says that's what scared him the most.  But it was so much fun!!!  :2funny:  Cousin Bandit has gone back to sleeping with my grandma instead of lying on Brittney's bed and crying all night.  Momma says that's a real good sign.  Keep sending rays and by next week I might have my favorite playmate back to normal and happy as ever!   I think he's enjoying being top dog in the house now, cause his poppa, my uncle Ty, gives him lots of loves and attention now.  I'll let you know next week if my cousin is feeling better.
Loves and licks,
Porky

PS.  Here's a picture of cousin Bandit at my house last week.  Doesn't he look sad!!

We're sending our rays, too.  Keep feeding him all of that good, nutritious food.  :apls:   He's got a really shiny coat--reminds me of Luth but without the grey whiskers!!

I think his fur shines like that because of all the broccoli Bandit eats.  Broccoli and cheese are his two favorite foods.  I got a phone call from my brother who was excited because Bandit was asking to go out for a walk on Sunday!  He hasnt wanted to do that for about a month now so that is a great sign. He has also started chewing on some of his toys again so he seems to be getting used to his lonliness now.  He slowly getting back to his normal self.    :apls:  He has even started chasing the neighbors cat out of his yard again.
