Title: Libby and the tea
Post by: Julie on February 19, 2006, 10:03:37 AM
We tooka trip to petsmart yesterday and on the way home we stopped at Chick-fil-a to get a gallon of sweet tea (I am addicted to their sweet tea!). Libby was up in the front seat in her doggie car seat (the air bag was disabled) and I put the gallon of tea on the floor in front of her seat.  Well as we were driving home, the tea kept moving as I turned corners and stopped.  Libby's ears perked up the first time it moved, then she started with a low growl.  By the time we got home, she was barking at it and Sgt, who was in the back seat and had no clue what she was barking at, chimed in with a howl!  I am glad it was only a mile drive to my house.  By the time we got home, Libby was totally freaking out because the tea moved again and when I turned the corner, it shifted really close to her.  When I unbuckled her from her seat, and got her out of the car, she was shaking and holding on to me with her claws.  I was trying to calm her down, but was still laughing so hard over the fact that a gallon of tea freaked her out so much.  She reminded me of Loreli's dog Paul Anka on Gilmore Girls who is afraid of the strangest things.  I took her in and made sure she was safe and sound before I put the tea away!!

That is funny, although of course Libby didn't think so!  Cajsa did that with an empty potato bag once.  She wouldn't even come into the kitchen and get a treat from me because of it.  That is something for her.  I laughed quite a bit at her and so did David.  It must be a girl dachie thing!

Hey Mom didn't ya know that gallon of tea looked just like a big critter! That is so funny. Schatzi, too, can be afraid of the strangest thing. Also, she finds the oddest things to play with. This morning I was walking into the bedroom and here she comes with a piece of paper in her mouth (81/2 by 11 size). I don't know what she thought she was going to do with it, but I'm sure she had some idea!

LOL Poor Libby. Maybe it was the wrong flavor. Hallie is terrified of my oven when I turn it on...but we can go to anyone elses house and they can be cooking and even burn things and it doesnt' bother her a bit. Who knows what goes through these cute little pea brains our kids have!
