Yesterday mom came home early, and after we had a snack, she loaded our kennels into the car and then put our collars on us and put us in the kennels. We got to go over to our new house!!! When we got there mom let us out and we got to run all over the place for a whole hour. Mom took some pictures of the house because Jeff was putting up the siding!!! YAAAAY!
The house is all done inside. Its fully functional with hot and cold running water and flushing toilets.
We get to start moving stuff in this Saturday!!!

Misty takes tentative steps. The snow has a crusty top that just barely supports her weight, she senses its hollow underneath.

Hi Roberta, it was 42F out yesterday, warm enough for the doxies. They don't get out in the snow very often because its usually too cold for them. Alex has that plate in his leg and it freezes up quickly. We are having many spring-like days lately and the dogs just love getting outside. They had a lot of fun yesterday exploring. Our winter isn't over yet, even though it feels like it. We ALWAYS get a big dump of snow in March!
That first picture of Misty looks a lot like my Chilie! I bet they're all loving running around in the open. The house looks great! I noticed in all the pictures you posted that Dan and Jeff are the only ones working on the house. Did you all build this house all by yourself? If so, I'm very impressed! (and even if not, I'm still impressed....it's a gorgeous house!) :apls: How will the puppers do with the hardwood floors? Chilie doesn't do very well on anything but carpet. She has to ride in the cart whenever we go to the pet store.....she's like Bambi on ice! :2funny:
Ooooooh, I'm SO jealous of your wood floors and KITCHEN! HA! I bet I know the dachsie's favorite spot. Right in front of the wood stove. LOOKING GOOD Patty. Great pics of all the kids too. Misty gives the L@@K very well.
Love all the pics. You have a beautiful house and beautiful puppers! Misty looks like such a sweetie in those pics! A smart girl! How deep was the snow she was on?
Woo hoo - lookin' good !!!! You will have so much fun moving and putting away!!!! How do the puppers do on the wood floors? Will you have rugs all over? Can't wait to see pics when all your stuff gets in !!!!

Beth, we did not build the house ourselves. Jeff has several people he subcontracts work out to, and from what I've seen, he's got a real good support team of subcontractors. I guess you see pictures with only Dan and Jeff in them because most of the time we don't go over there until the end of the day. I did get a picture of the guys putting the big windows in.......scary.......those guys scrambling up the scaffolding holding those big windows like they were nothing.

I'm not sure how the dogs will do on the floors. I guess we will have to make sure those toenails don't get too long! The stairs are carpeted, although the dogs won't be going up them unless we are going up to bed.

The snow was only about 4 inches deep. Misty and the boys followed me through the woods by stepping in my footprints.

We don't plan on putting rugs in. The dogs haven't been inside the house since the flooring was put down. In fact, they've only be inside once. We do have carpeting on the stairs, its this commercial grade, low nap stuff, and very padded underneath. Its nice. We needed carpet on the stairs because the laminate would have been too slippery. I thought of putting in an area rug but I think it would be just one more thing the dogs would mark.
Wow! I love these Patty, your house is really coming along! I can't believe it's about ready to be moved into. It's just gorgeous. Love the doxie pics too, that is soooo cute, the way Misty is being so careful walking across the ice.
Awesome Patty! It looks great! I am so excited for you
Well I guess I have been gone a while if it's moving day already? WOW! It's beautiful Patti. I can't wait to see pictures after you all moved in and settled.
