My 11 year old daughter, Bethany's all star cheerleading squad, just took first place for the second time this season. This competition was their 3rd of this season and was at the Florida State Fair. Their first competition was in Indianapolis (the same weekend as and right next door to the Colts playoff game). Their original score on that one, was the highest, but unfortunatly, two girls in the very front fell during their flips and we lost enough penalty points to bring them down to 4th. It was a very disappointing loss. Their second competition was here in Tampa and they made up for that first competition with a really high score and walked away with 1st place metals. This last one was really close, but they took first by half a point! Our next competition is in Orlando the first weekend of March. Wish her luck!!!
Congratulations and Good Luck in the Orlando Competition!!
A few girls in Amy's sorority are cheerleaders for UNI, and they are constantly working out and practicing. Cheerleading is not the "fluff" sport anymore; it takes a lot of work!!!
Way to go!!
Congrats! Good luck on the Orlando competition! Let us know how it goes!
