Remember us, the untrainable monsters?!? I know, who could forget about us, well I want to tell you about our Friday night. On Friday, my mom was throwing a family party because one of our aunts was turning 50. It was the first time Koby & me have been with a big group and my mom was a little nervous, because we don't like strange people in the house very much. Julie & Eric and the girls were going to be there too, so my mom figured they could help if we had any problems. By the time everyone got there, there were about 30 people in the house. Koby & I met each of them at the door and then barked at them to let them know they had entered our house. Then when we saw our mom talking to them, we figured they were ok. We spent a lot of time scoping out crumbs. We let everyone pet us. Koby kept doing his trick of sitting up on his hind legs. He can sit there forever! He is like a statute. Our old dad told Julie and Eric that if you pointed your fingers at him like a gun, and said bang, he would fall over like he got shot, but he also said that Koby had not done that trick in a long time. Julie & Eric kept trying to get him to do it, but he refused. At the party, Koby kept sitting up and everyone kept pretending to shoot him, but he would not do it. Then our Aunt Linda said "Koby, if you do it for me, I will give you a piece of this cheese I am eating". She pointed her finger at Koby, said bang and he fell over dead. He was so dramatic about it. Everyone was in shock. Linda gave him the cheese and he stood back up again and did it again for her. Julie took him out to the other room to show our mom and dad and he did it again. Well by then Koby had already had 2 pieces of cheese and was working on his 3rd. So I decided to get into the action. When they said Bang, Koby fell over and I rollled over right next to him. Boy was everyone excited. So then Julie looked at me and said "Tiff, roll over" and I did it again, on command. Everyone knew our story and was very excited, and I got more cheese. Then our momma said enough cheese, so we kept doing it whenever anyone asked and instead of cheese we got lots of pets and love. We had so much fun! Then a big group sat on the floor around the coffee table and played a game, so Koby & me went from lap to lap, getting all the love we could. We decided that we like parties and we are trainable, it just takes the right person!!
That is awesome news :hello2:
What great tricks - you will have to come to California to teach them to Penny! :thumb:
Tiff, that sounds like a really fun party!
It must be so nice for you to be with such special hoomans! You don't even have to be in the crate all the time anymore!
I am soooooo happy for you! Buelah and Oscy and Toby want you to come play soon! You can bring Koby and Sgt. and Miss Libby with you to!
I can't wait to see your trick! Smooches to you and Koby sweet girl.....you really ARE a princess!
Koby is a smart boy and waited until someone offered the right incentive to do the trick! I think doxies will do anything for food. :thumb: Yeah, Koby and Tiff sure do sound like horrible little monsters. NOT!!! It just took the right environment and love to help them be the wonderful puppers that they are. If I had to live with that awful woman they were with before, I probably would have pee-peed in her floor too! And I am fully potty trained. (Well most of the time. :2funny:)
Oh my gosh - what a wonderful story !!!! Sounds like the party was a huge hit and that the kids had a ball........thanks so much for sharing !!!
Too funny! They sure are two little "monsters" - love monsters! That's just too cute about the cheese and the "dead dog" trick!
That is just so wonderful!!! I love all the stories about Koby and Tiff. And the neat thing is, all the people at the party sounded cool too for letting the puppers steal the show! Woohooo!
Tiff, you are just too funny. I needed that laugh this morning.
How fun! What a couple of sweethearts you two are!
What a wonderful story. I bet they don't even remember life before you guys. At least, I hope they don't.
I hope they don't remember either. what a great story LOL a couple of little hams!! They fell into a great family for sure. Does Jared keep tabs on them?
Nikki you crack me up! :2funny:
What a great turnaround. So goes rescue. This just makes my heart sing.
We will never know why Bean had to wait 2+ years to have a home, but for us, I'm sure glad he did!
Of course you're trainable, you little love bugs. We never thought you weren't, and you certainly aren't monsters. Thank God for doxie rescue!!! You two are so precious, and SMART!!! Wow. Sounds like you had a wonderful time at a great party with lots of neat people. Good for you!
