I have such thoughtful little puppers! I have a tote bag that I carry each day. In it are essential that don't fit in my purse, like my lunch, a book or magazine to read on the train, an umbrella (on rainy days), and my hand-held Sudoku game. At lunch time I reached into my bag and pulled out my lunch and my treat, looked under my lunch and found a special treat--one of the kid's nylabones! Not sure who put it in there, other than it's not Poldie because he doesn't pay any attention to those things. Skeeter and Boone just love them. I *think* it's Skeeter, because she likes to sit on the sofa and chew them, and I sometimes set my bag next to the sofa, where the nylabone might have dropped in. Also, Kevin said she was real interested in my bag the other day. Now I think I know why!

Awwww, what considerate puppers. They just want to make sure you have something to chew on while you're on the train. How sweet! BTW, how's Polie doing?
Leopold is hanging in there. His cough is a bit worse, and we honestly don't know whether it is his existing lung disease getting worse or if the cancer is now in his lungs. Most of the time he breathes well, it's just that when he coughs, he coughs harder than he used to.
Most dogs with hemangeosarcoma live two months after diagnosis. Valentine's Day will be two months, so he's almost made it two months. Only time will tell if he has truly beaten the odds.

I do pray that Poldie will beat the odds.
I pray for Poldie too. I know it's rough on you guys as well. I feel like I know him just from what you've written about him these years.
That is the funniest story of the month about the nylabone in yourlunch! LOL! I woudl love to have seen the lookon your face...
Thanks for the chuckle. We've had similar incidents where Rudy & Max would pay very close attention to the furniture. When we moved the furniture around, we found a Milk Bone underneath!
Poldie has made a career out of beating the odds. I'm sure he'll continue to hang in there. Knowing Poldie, he'll decide when it's time for him to go to the Bridge, and he won't go one moment before he wants to.
