The house looks great. Isn't that going to be a bear to heat with the vaulted ceilings and all the glass?
The horsies look wonderful, too. I was telling a friend about your horses and how their winter coats were just absolutely amazing. Mother Nature knows how to take care of her creatures.

Not at all, David! The house is a 5-star energy-rated home, and the front windows are special insulated glass. Its a very tight house. Our Blaze King woodstove is going to heat very efficiently, and we also have forced air gas heat. I anticipate a very low heating bill.
Our builder had an enery-rating done even before he put the door knobs in the holes in the doors just to test those windows. So even with the holes to the outside air, the house still rated 5 stars. I was VERY please.
Cool! I love the pics of your house! It is beautiful!
WOW !!!! I love looking at the snow through all the windows..... And your stove - with the huge burner - very kewl !!!! Love it all !!!!
SMoochies to Neeki !
Patty, our living area looks very similar to yours. We had all of our big windows replaced with triple insulated glass (of course we had to have special glass for pressure over 9,000 feet). Since hot air does rise and we have those high ceilings, we put a rustic ceiling fan hanging down from one of the beams and it really helps circulate the hot air. Of course our house was built in the 70s, so I'm sure yours is much more update on insulation and the like. Looks GREAT.
Then Patty would have snotty nose prints all over her pretty windows, like we do!!!!!
Are nose prints so bad? I think they are art! lol
I'm sure Willy, Alex and Misty will put lots of nose art on the windows once they get their big pillows. They have to keep an eye on things and let me know when a moose wanders by.
