Thank you for all the rays and prayers. The arrhythmia corrected on it's own and Dad was allowed to come home.
He is adjusting to the meds, fluid restriction and low-sodium diet. They did have an issue with a medication dosage though and he passed out at home from it. Before mom could call 911, dad was alert again. She called the cardiologist and he told her to give him half of the dosage previously given. My aunt is now staying with my mom and dad to provide some extra help.
Since there is nothing they can do to cure Viral Cardiomyopathy, we now just have to hope and pray that medication will treat the resulting congestive heart failure and keep it bay. He still may require an ICD and/or pacemaker down the road.
Thanks again to all of you for your caring support!
So glad your dad is back home - I am sure he will do well there. Keeping good thoughts for him - please keep us updated !
Glad to hear he's doing better. Hope the meds get straightened out as that could cause everyone lots of worry. Know you and your dad/family are in my thoughts and prayers!
