The Princess broke her own record, with a score of 95 (last weekend her score of 94 had been her highest yet). She got points off because the Chesapeke Bay Retriever in the ring before us, stopped and pee'd himself a lake, poor boy, just sat there and pee'd and pee'd...Hallie has a very strong aversion to pee smell when working LOL, she will leap over it or skirt waaay around it and will have nothing to do with it. So even though they had a crew clean it up well, she was supposed to do a "halt-sit" right there and she said nope uh uh I'm not about to sit THERE!!! So she stood, and that was points off. But she did great and I was weally proud of her, we had fun that's what mattered. Here she is ringside with her ribbon.
Here are also two pictures of her with the #1 Jr Handler in the US. If anyone watched the Eukanuba Invitational dog show on Animal Planet last week (in Florida, where the wirehaired doxie won the hound group) they interviewed him for his win, he was handling a beautiful red standard longhair. He was at the show today so I got a couple of pictures of the #1 handler with my pound puppy. LOL.
Hallie sez I had a great day, after I won my wibbon my Mom took me shopping at the vendors and bought me a nummy pupcake (little muffin for dogs at a gourmet treat booth) and shared a pizza crust with her and let everyone pet me, I was in my stroller so I helped Mom take pictures of dogs and stuff. We came home and played wif my toys now I am napping. Yawn. Tomorrow is a horse show oh boy road apples! :thumb:
Hallie Berry Butt - girlfriend - YOU ROCK !!! Congrats to you and your mommy.....
I don't blame you a bit for not wanting to sit in that pp spot...... :dontknow:
I recognize the gentleman holding you - I just hope he realized how lucky HE is !!!!
Sounds like you were a hit at the show with all the petting and sounds like you got a yummy reward !!!!
Smoochies sweet girl  You will always be our #1 show doggie !!!! :hello2:
Ooh, Hallie! I like your ribbon! (It looks green! Is it?) Brekke says you are da dog! And how smart are you to get that smart young man to make kissy-face with you! Auntie Julia
Thank you Auntie Barb and Auntie Julia.
Yes that is a green qualifying ribbon. She didn't place in the top four today so if you qualify, you gets the green ribbon. :) 70 and above is passing, below 70 is a flunk.
It was one of those days....there were 60 dogs entered in our class and it just happened we were the last dog in! So we got there an hour late, usually it goes about 3 hours with that many dogs and I don't like to make Hallie wait too long and get bored. So we saunter in and the steward is saying hey you are in NEXT. :doah: In this class, you usually walk the course beforehand because you follow signs, not the judges direction, and I had had no time to even watch someone go through the course so had no idea what it was. I quickly got Hallie out of her stroller, had no time to warm up, her collar slipped over her head somehow as i was rushing to the ring gate with her, the place was jam packed with people and dogs so when the collar came off, Hallie didn't realize it and just kept moving along with the crowd, she was walking along with some lady and her pointer, while I was left behind LOL. I called her and she came right back, we were all discombobulated, then the dog took the long pee in the ring so at least I had time to gather my wits. (I never get nervous at shows but I was just not prepared, I usually warm her up about 5-10 min before we go in). So we barely made it. She was so funny when I held out the pupcake for her, she didn't quite know what to do with it, she was so gentle and trying to slowly pull pieces off but her eyes were bugging out LOL. They have the best booths at this show.
and to think sumbuddy dumped the little cutie at a shelter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing!!!!!!!!!! :urock:
I love how she closes her eyes when she kisses.
Haillie oliver says next time you get a cupcake he will come over and show you how its done, but like his delicate small sister you would have a dainty mouth.
But Whahooooooooo ya done it again, bet your mum had a panic when your colalr slipped I would have.
Have a great day recovering sweetie pie, give mum a sloppy one from all of us.

Thinking of what Leslie said, I have thought of what your song would be....
Shirley Maclean singing "If they could see me now"
Roberta
Ahhh you guys gave me teary eyes. I always wonder if those people ever even think of her and Sophie and the little boy. They sure gave up a lot but I'm sure glad they did, and I'm sure Rich and Deb are glad too. :) That is the perfect song!
Yes she always closes her eyes and first gives you a little sniff and delicate little kisses. Unless you've been eating something good, then she tries to crawl inside your mouth LOL.
Hallie would gladly have Ollie over anytime to show her the proper doxie way to eat a pupcake. I could tell she wanted to scarf it all down but was just not sure how, it was pretty big and not something she's ever had. She only got a few little bits at a time.
I didn't really panic when her collar slipped, (darn show collar anyway, it's buckle and is either too loose or too tight) because I knew she'd never take off, she always stays with me but I did have to laugh to see her trotting along with strangers, thinking I was right behind her LOL. I'm sure I looked like a total novice! :doah:
Whoohooo You go Girls!! Awesome job... Hallie the Rally Diva!! YOU Rock!!
Looks like she likes Micheal she has good taste he is a really nice guy.... if i was on the w. coast and needed a handler i would look him up in a minute. He has really had some awesome accomplishments .. showing a dachshund as your Jr. dog isn't a easy thing.
Take Care
Jen
Congratulations Hallie, you are AWESOME. I'm glad you knew what you were doing and mommy just thought you didn't. You just wanted to meet those new people you were walking beside! I see, also, that you know to give kisses to the right people. Of course, I can't blame you for giving one to Michael. I'm sure a lot of girls would like to! Keep up the good work and I hope you and mom have fun going to the horse show today.
'Way to go, Hallie!!! I don't blame you at ALL for steering clear of that pee pool. Don't they know you're a dainty little lady?
Congratulations on your win.
:hello2: :hello2: :hello2: Way to go Miss Hallie! Finn and I are SO proud of you! He said he would be MORE than happy to show you how to eat a pupcake...in one gulp! lol You and your sweet Mama are awesome girls!
I don't blame you for not wanting to sit in the pee pee spot...you are a very smart girl!
