Ozzy was such a good traveler over the holidays. We left him at my parents for a couple of days while we visited Roger's Mom in Louisville. We rejoined Ozzy at my folk's home for a few days, then took Ozzy with us back to Roger's Mom so Ozzy could meet her. We were able to do this, and to actually stay with my mother-in-law because her husband passed away right before Christmas.
We were never close to him, so we did not attend the funeral. We did help Roger's Mom negotiate through a few immediate issues regarding Social Security stuff, and going through a bunch of papers with her. Roger's "step-father" was a World War II vet and former prisoner of war, a survivor of the Bataan Death March, and as such, had a few emotional scars.
Anyway, Roger's Mom was quite taken with Ozzy and they got along beautifully.
Now, to try to get back into our regular routine.........

So sorry to hear about Roger's stepdad's passing. Glad you were able to help Roger's mom with some of the loose ends though.
You weren't far from me when you were in Louisville! I live in Lexington so it's about an hour or so away. Maybe we could meet sometime in the future!
