Title: first vet visit of the year!!!!!!!
Post by: Roberta on January 01, 2006, 06:40:34 PM
Oliver, warp drive earley done it, so we went of to the emergency vet as it was a public holiday.
He came in from the back garden limping on his front left leg, so just to make sure we took him, likely hood thats a sprain from coming up the ramp at warp drive. He said the other is a lateral disc something or other, but says it looks like what we though a sprain as he is a bit to active for his own good, gave him a non steroidal shot and gave us some metacam for a few days. If it did not improve take him to uncle ray and they would be forwarding his findings.
To-day he is not even limping or favouring the leg but we have to keep him quiet no walks for a few days.

Hope he feels better.  Lots of rays heading your way.  It sounds like the typical soft tissue injury.   When it happens, you think these guys are in insufferable pain.  24 hours later, it's like nothing ever happened.  I think they like to milk it for all it's worth.

Goodness. Not a good start to the year. Glad it sounds like it's not his back though. Hallie also sometimes hits her ramp too fast, I put things in the way so she has to slow down to get around them sometimes. These guys don't realize their own limitations oft times! Rays and hugs to Ollie, it's hard to keep them down once they feel better.

You need to slow down, li'l Ollie.  No fair given you mom heart attacks so early in the year.  Rays to you, buddy!
