Title: Elf's birthday!
Post by: April on August 24, 2005, 12:55:48 PM
is tomorrow.  I can't beleive she'll be a year old already!  It is really something.  Last year at this time I was sitting at my desk in labor, waiting for David to get home so I'd be free to leave work!  (Not that my boss was making me stay there or anything.)  It's just strange, but happy!

Thanks everyone!  She is such a blessing.  I wouldn't have imagined her being like this a year ago when she was born.  I really had no clue what to expect, but I wasn't really scared.  It's amazing to me.  This year brought many new things like first steps, first words, sheer joy at being awake at 3 am (at least on Elf's part! lol).  She also just got her first tooth the past week so it's been a lot of firsts!  It's a good thing though because David and I have gotten to re-experience the discovery of everyday things like a box and string, or a ball that squishes.  Things we had grown used to we got to see or experience again for the first time by watching Elf.  That is a very happy thing to do.  With all these things from the first year I'm eagerly awaiting to see what the next year holds for this "pack".
