Brekke and Mocha here: we found a big mousen in da back yard last night. We both smelled something weird, and tag teamed an 8 inch mouse just before midnight!
Brekke here: I was giving it the what for and Mocha was helping but silently. I was gonna catch the evil thing and kill it, but Mocha went the wrong way and that evil mousen slipped out under the gate.
Mocha here: I am not used to helping with a mousen - I got a big sister who's a sheltie and she takes care of stuff like that! I will do better, and next time I will help more - if there is a next time!
Julia here - it was 8" long minimum! Brekke was barking a little yip, yip, yip, so I knew something weird was happening! I turned on the porch light and this thing was huge! In 23 years here, I had never seen a mouse (aren't field mice supposed to be little???) and was shocked at its size! I hope the red-tailed hawks take care of this thing, now that Brekke and Mocha have alerted them!
Umm, I think that mouse is spelled R-A-T.
It was a mouse body and a mouse head - not a skinless rat tail at all. Definitely a brown soft, furry thing that squeaked when cornered! I am going by the rats I saw on "Willard" and it looked nothing like them. Here are the girls, checking out the back perimeter earlier yesterday...Mocha is on the left and Brekke on the right.

Ha - I was going to say the same thing R-A-T
Penny caught and killed a rat a couple of weeks ago - YUCK :puke:
Brekke here: My daddy sez it was a mouse, too! We don't live in the part of town where there are tree rats, but Momma is going to do a search on what we saw. It was like this only a solid brown.
Maybe that mousie was on steriods??
:2funny: Well, let me just say this - I went to a web site after doing a search on rats and mice. I only know that if it is in fact, a mouse, I hope no one ever has a mouse in the house stirring by your stockings, the size of that one! It was Godzilla-mouse!
Or Mouse Tse-Kong?? :icon_tongue:
