Dolly here. We tink sumptin's goin' on around here. Mommy keeps telling us that we're goin' on a camping trip, but da ting is, Mommy and Papa don't like to camp. Could it be that WE are goin' on a camping trip by ourselves?
Maddie here. I haven't been alerted to any such plans yet, cuz if I was, I'd be getting all neurotic and even urpy. I'd be sticking to mommy like glue. Nope, I think Dowwy is 'magining tings.
Mommy here. Well, I went and done did it. I reserved 7 days for the girls at our vet's kennel. I've NEVER kenneled them before but this particular place comes highly recommended by some friends of mine who used to (they moved to Texas) board their two Corgis there. We've taken a tour and met Julie who runs the Kennel part of the practice. It looks very clean and they'll have a roomy "camper" all to themselves. I wasn't real thrilled with the last experience of a pet-sitter and I figure if Madderoo gets urpy, the vet will be right there.
Since I don't have to report to my new job until the 2nd of Jan, we're taking a full week off and are going on a roadtrip up to Oregon and then travel along the coast. No plans whatsoever. We'll just stay someplace when we're ready to stop. Kind of a decompressing/debriefing from "that place" we resigned from, ya know?
Dolly: So mommy, does dis place have tweets?
Mommy: Yes.
Dolly: Hey Maddie, we get tweets! It can't be dat bad of a place. Maybe camping will be FUN.

Sounds like a great place for the girls - take some of their things and a few things that smell like mom and dad and they will be fine. Can you call in and check on them?
