Last weekend all 4 puppers spent the night at my parents house while we went out of town for the weekend. My dad became best buddies with Koby & Tiff. My dad is the original couch potato and Koby & Tiff are pretty big couch potatoes too, so they spent the entire weekend keeping him company watching sports in his recliner. In the last two years, both of my parent's dogs went to the bridge, one at age 9 because of an enlarged heart and the other passed away last year at the age of 16. My parents have a cabin in Tennessee and as much as they wanted a new dog, they didn't want to worry about boarding it while they went to their cabin for a week here and there or trying to drive 15 hours with it, so they have been putting off the idea. With Koby & Tiff, they can just drop them off at our house on the way and pick them back up so it would work out perfect. Mom asked me today if they could have them. The entire situation is perfect. We will get to see them all the time and baby sit for them periodically, and they will still get to see my two all the time, since my parents are only a mile away. We are going to drop them off on Sunday, because my parents are hosting a big Christmas party for their church group on Saturday night and didnt think it would be good to take the puppers on the same day. I am really excited about this. I am going to miss having them around, but will see them a lot. They will be totally spoiled with my parents and live the life that they were meant to have. I will try to get my mom to post on the board, but am not sure if she will, so I will still keep everyone posted. When they go live with my parents does that mean that I am now their hu-sissy and not their hu-mom???
That's great! I do want to keep reading updates so you're not allowed to slack off there! LOL!
That is wonderful news I'm so glad for them.
What a fantasic outcome, Yes I think you now will be their hu-sister.
The big plus is they know them, sounds like a match made in heaven. Please try and get your mum to post, that means we get to know what you have been up to too.
Love and hugs to you all
Roberta
Julie that's wonderful..keep them in family!
That sounds like a perfect situation for all. It is great that you will still be in their lives. You and Eric are to be commended for what you have done for those two great little pups.
Hi Julie!
That is so wonderful! What a perfect situation for everyone! I think....and everyone can correct me if they don't agree...that you will still be the hoomom! Your parents can be the hoograndmama and papa!
I am really thrilled that they are going to have such a wonderful like. They know your folks so there won't be much of an adjustment and they can see you and Eric and the girls whenever you want! Just PERFECT!

I am all choked up! You will still be able to see them and your two now will have an aunt and uncle at the hoograndparents! Um, that makes you the hoosister! It is far better to be the hoosister of two dachsies, than of a cat, like me! Congratulations on finding them the best of all possible worlds!
I guess you could say" home for the holidays".
:urock: Yippee! Thats so cool! What more could they have asked for from the hoosister!
What a great outcome! Many thanks to your family for helping these dachshunds in need find the right home.
I don't think we could have asked for a more perfect result. Bless you guys! You have 's of gold.
Julie - that is so kewl !!! I knew in the beginning you said you were hoping your parents would fall in love with them.....sounds like the perfect solution for the kids and for your parents - and fabulous that they are so close to you.....Hu-sis, hu-mom.....I think you and Eric will always be their Hu-angels
You both did such a good thing here......and you ARE required to update us regularly OR train mom and dad to post !!!!!
Will they still get to sleep in the big bed with Mom and Dad? Can't wait to see pictures of the new family.
Hugs to you !!!!
I am sooooooooooooo happy for the 2 of them! It sounds like they will have all the love they need and lots&lots of good attention.
What a wonderful ending to the saga of Koby & Tiff...or is it just a beginning?
We're looking forward to hearing about your "family reunions"
I have to admit when I saw the title of the thread, my first thought was NOOOOOOO..... I didn't realize they were going to G-ma and G-pa..... That's so wonderful. Koby and Tiff are lucky puppers to have a Hoo-family like yours. Please still update us. I've fallen head over heels for those 2 babies.
That's awesome. It makes me so happy to know those two cuties found a happy forever home! And that'll be great since you still get to see them. :apls:

I've been following this saga for a long time and in my opinion, you are a "Hu-Hero!"
