Leopold needs rays big time

Kevin, Poldie and I just returned from the vet. As you may know, a few months ago he went lame in his back leg. We tried the holistic vet, and for awhile the various therapies were helping, until last week when he stopped trying to use his leg.

Over the weekend Kevin noticed a large lump in his leg, so we scheduled an emergency visit with the vet. The doctor took x-rays and part of the bone is missing, It could be several nasty things eating that bone, like a bone infection or more likely cancer.

There are two types of cancer that are likely, both are aggressive, but one spreads to other organs and one tends not to spread. At best we are looking at amputation. At worst, there isn't much at all that we can do.

I will call the specialist in the morning for an appointment. Please send prayers and rays for the best possible result. We are so upset right now, so I think I will sign off the the evening.

Sending mega rays and prayers to Poldie. Poldie is a tough old bird. We've seen his "back against the wall" a number of times, and somehow, Poldie finds a way to pull through. I know the odds seem even longer than this time, but we have faith in old Poldie.
