It has been a very long time since I've been here but when Big Red was diagnosed (we're pretty sure, waiting on a urine test for final diagnosis) with Cushings earlier this week, I knew this was the place to come.  His liver is enlarged, vet is concerned about UTI as well.  Once the urine test is back, we'll start some type of treatment.

HE acts fine, looks fine (none of the skin issues and/or muscle atrophy) he just drinks water like a camel and pees like a horse...and poo...OMG.  So all systems seem to be functioning.  :o  No issues with eating and he's not constantly begging for food either.

He's 12 and I know this affects older dogs but is it a death sentence?!  I've been all over the internet doing research trying to educate myself (and not bawl at work)...any information and/or guidance is appreciated.

TIA -

Have not had any of mine with it, seen it in humans. This site tells it as it is.

as I worked in the path industry it makes sense to me but maybe not you. I was wondering how Big Red was going.
Don't give up hope as they are tough cookies. Amy on meds was with us 2 years longer than the norm due to tablets etc.
Hug the big guy for me.
