Have been wondering how Miss Hallie and DeeDee are doing sure miss them and there wonderful paintings to see once in awhile.?

Exactly.  We miss them and everybody else too. 

We don't/can't do FBook and really miss the lively daily activity here.

Hope Patches, Buddy and you are keeping strong.  We are suffering in the heat but hanging on in there otherwise, more white and grey hairs all around!

Hilde and I are doing well in Michigan.  Summer hasn't been too bad at all.  Just lately having a run with humidity.  We check in from time to, and I will try to do better.

Wow real people back on Wiener Writings I check every day do not do face book either. 103* today that's with the heat index fur kids go out but do not stay long hoping it gets cool soon.

We know how you feel.  The humidity here has been up around 90% for the past months and at over 100 daytime and in the nineties at night, truly horrible. 

Things are so bad financially we can't afford the 24hrs a/c so have it on at night to sleep and try to force the sea air through everywhere during the daytime.  There is usually a good breeze for a few hours around lunchtime.   I am your typical very white and sensitive skinned Brit and cannot take any kind of heat or sun.  Cooking is miserable!  I can only dream of the U.K. bonnie Scotland.

We have found a good solution for Red and Islay in a Curli airmesh vest harness each which we soak in water and keep in a freezer bag in the fridge.  At least it keeps their chests cool for a while whilst we do a quick walk along the seafront  and the evaporation helps too.  We opted for the bright almost fluorescent green which shows up well in the dark and looks good in the sunlight too.

Sorry about your not being able to do the AC since you are in a different country do you remember the old fashioned water coolers that set in windows wonder if any one still makes them might work as well or better than a regular fan also even with a regular fan you can set ice in front of a fan some what cooler.? I remembered the water coolers from when I was a kid here in Oklahoma might google it see what might come up somewhere in the world maybe they still use them ? Yes have read about the cool vests for dogs have heard the work really well hopefully since it is August cool is around the corner.Hang in there.
