but sadly, the mean ol' opossum ran across our yard and thump thumped over the fence before I could taste him.  Sorry Hunter and all other possum loving puppers.  I hope to do better next time.

Good grief!  She might be deef and pretty blind but she made a valiant effort.  Must have been a BIG one by the sound of the THUMP  THUMP.  I shudder to think if it was a raccoon.  Still, the nose of the Bon Bon is in fine shape as it took me about 10 minutes to coax her back into the house.  Mommy here is really glad that she did not get her piece of possum pie.
