Angel is the red with black overlay and Cassie is the dapple.  Cassie is probably a pattern mix - dad is a piebald dapple and mom is a red (but based on other litters she had, must have some dappling that faded).  So Cass could be a single dapple just with a lot of white, a dapple pie, or even a double (but probably not as she has no vision or hearing problems).  Angel and Cassie are litter sisters and had a third sister who is a smooth red dapple (both parents are smooths).   Bet you're glad you asked!

Abby is lovely... I love all dachshunds but my husband and I are especially partial to longhairs.

and one more thing, Cheryl...I'm fresh out of red longhairs - ya think Abby might come live with me and fix that problem of mine? I looked at her again - she has a very pretty coat, it's so silky and shiney (sp?). Gretchen wants to know how she does that - silky and shiney are NOT words to describe HER coat!!! LOL! Poor baby, she tries to be a longhair!

They are both very  pretty girls but Angel is especially pretty. How old are they? Isn't it funny how we all have our favorites as far as coats? My husband and I were also very partial to Longs and then we got Ilsa who is a wire. Now we have a long (Gretchen) and a wire and I'm not sure which I would prefer between the two. I haven't taken the plunge into a smoothie, or I'd be even more confused, I'm sure. LOL!

Thank you so much.  They were 2-1/2 this month.  Angel is a sweet, sensitive girl who would like to be loved on 24 hours a day; Cassie is a mischievous little entertainer.

What a memory you have!...yes it was last year we went on the trip...the car seats worked out great except Roxie hated it!..she hung out of it the whole 10 hrs a day driving!..they were in the back seat and she hung her head over the front seat giving us the l@@k the whole time..sheesh...but all in all they were darlings on the trip...I'll post pictures of them in the seats on our trip soon for you to see...
As for Abby's coat...she's always had a soft shiny coat...but Roxie's was always a bit rough and she had dandruff bad and I tried all kinds of different foods to get rid of it...I finally found one after 3 yrs of trying that took the dandruff away and made her coat soooooooooo soft and shiny......Eagle Pack Food...amazing stuff....and they love it....

Abby is 4 now and Roxie is 3....

Angel looks like what in Australia is a mahogany red like oliver, so is  a totally stunning girlie.
