a trial run with Schatzi and Christmas

Thought I would try getting a picture of Schatzi to send to Meghan. As you can see, she wasn't thrilled, but we did get one in the end! I love her closing her eyes. She HATES the flash on the camera. The real fun will be when we put Molly with her.

I agree about digital cameras!  I remember when I used to take a whole roll of film; no clue if anything came out... spend a lot of money to get it developed and be lucky to have one good picture.  I only have about 3 pictures of my first dachshund as a puppy vs. about a million for the girls because there were no digital cameras then.

She's so cute!  I love the shut eyes.  Bogart does that, too. He hates the flash.

I love having the digital too. The smartest thing for me to do would be set the camera on the tripod and shoot at a higher ISO speed. Then we might avoid the flash. If I had the remote shutter click, I might could pull it off!!
I love Barbs picture. It shows the typical doxie "I'm tired of this" manuever. Just roll over for bellyrubs!!

Is Brandy wearing a bow?..It looks like a bow on top of her head....she's such a cutie...they both are...what a wonderful picture!

I use a diffuser on my flash, and it keeps the eyes from having that ghostly look.  Try a light piece of white material...maybe a chiffon scarf over the flash....and if you have a flash on a hot shoe...and not just a built in, bounce it a little....see if that doesn't help.

HA !!!! Thats Rudy that looks like he has a bow......I believe it is just the throw that is bunches up behind him......or maybe a plant?????  now I can't tell !!!!  Not sure what I stuck in that corner when we made room for the Christmas tree last year......

I can't wait to try to diffuse the flash next time I take a picture. I'm always getting the Ghost eyes, too. Even though my flash is attached to the camera, it pops up enough that I could cover it some. I'll let you know how it works.
